Rotator Cuff Tendonitis

What is Rotator Cuff Tendonitis?

Rotator cuff tendonitis is an injury usually caused by overuse of the arm. It is wise to view it as the prelude to tearing your rotator cuff and therefore well worthy of your attention. If you have ever heard of someone diagnosed with Swimmer’s or Pitcher’s or Tennis Shoulder, they are all suffering from an inflamed or irritated rotator cuff tendon. Most people can regain complete use of their shoulder, but for some, the pain can become chronic and that is where we come in.

What are the symptoms of Rotator Cuff Tendonitis?

  • Pain at the front of the shoulder or along arm
  • Swelling at the front of shoulder or arm
  • Pain raising or lowering your arm
  • Pain when reaching behind back
  • Poor arm motion or mobility
  • Arm weakness
  • Clicking when raising your arm
  • Stiffness of shoulder
  • Pain at night

I have chronic rotator cuff tendonitis that I can’t shake. Do I have a regenerative option that’s surgery-free?

Dr. Greenberg’s team will first perform a Comprehensive Kinetic Diagnosis including a review of your most recent radiographs. They will carefully examine and palpate your neck, back and shoulders to gain a comprehensive understanding of the kinetic integrity of the musculoskeletal systems along your shoulders, shoulder blades, neck and arms.

If you are an appropriate candidate for Kinetic Regeneration Therapy (KRT), Dr. Greenberg will treat your tendonitis pain by regenerating the joint systems of your rotator cuff and your entire shoulder joint. For tendonitis, he will administer a healing and synergistic cascade of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Stem Cell Treatments on an individual basis. KRT uses your own stem cells called adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADMSC).

A typical KRT treatment course may call for several injections performed every 3 weeks depending on the patient’s response. The treatments initiate natural healing processes, factors and cells that strengthen and renew sinews, ligaments, tendons, nerves and cartilage to stabilize the shoulder and all essential joints. If we find additional areas that may be causing pain, we will try to fix those too. As the entire structure of the shoulder joint and scapula grows stronger, stability will return and pain will dissipate.

If you or a loved one is looking for a new strategy to treat chronic aches and pains, fill out the form on this page to schedule an appointment or call Dr. Greenberg’s office today at 833-440-4325.

Any patient that enters the building will be screened by having their temperature taken, as well as, a questionnaire from Main Line Health. Once in the office, patients will be asked to wash their hands immediately and their temperature may be taken again. All patients will have a safe distance between them and patients will only be seen once per hour. The Greenberg Regenerative staff will be wearing masks and ensuring that all safety protocols and guidelines per Main Line Health and the CDC are being followed. At the end of the appointment, patient’s have the option to take a Greenberg Regenerative Medicine hand sanitizer to allow them to remain safe and healthy.
