Trigger Finger
(Stenosing Tenosynovitis)
The cause of Trigger Finger (TF), also called Stenosing Tenosynovitis, is related to an injury of a joint in the finger called the A1 pulley which may thicken, making it difficult for the flexor tendon to move through it as the finger bends to pull a trigger, grab a ski pole or a tennis racket. This condition can occur in all of your fingers, including your thumb, which is called Trigger Thumb. When the finger releases from its contraction, you may hear a popping sound and feel some pain or the finger may not straighten at all.
- A small lump at the base of the finger
- Pain when straightening finger
- Stiff finger
- Locked finger
Dr. Greenberg created the The Greenberg Method treatment to empower the body to heal itself. He and his team use Prolotherapy, Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and Stem Cell treatments, to activate the body’s natural healing components, including stem cells to promote healing in the wrist and hand and regenerate injured soft tissues.
Dr. Greenberg will discuss the objectives of each treatment and explain the therapeutic option that is most appropriate for your case.
The Greenberg Method is a good choice for people who are looking for a non-invasive alternative to surgery. TGM treatments have lower infection risks than surgeries, shorter recovery times and are opioid-free. Dr. Greenberg is a holistically-centered physician who not only treats your physical injury but he also addresses You. We support your recovery through proper nutrition, supplements, and innovative therapies to nurture a sense of wellness for your body and mind.

Dr. Greenberg uses TGM Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections for carpal tunnel syndrome. PRP treatments help promote the patients’ own healing factors and cells so that they can regenerate tissue, cartilage and bone systems in the wrist.
