Should I Be Taking Supplements? Dr. Scott Greenberg Weighs In

Should I Be Taking Supplements

You’ve seen them online, in your local drugstore, and maybe you’re already taking some! Supplements come in all shapes and sizes, for a wide range of health benefits, and it can be hard to decipher which you may need to add to your health regimen. Continue reading to learn Dr. Scott Greenberg’s take on supplements, why they are an important part of an individual health regiment, and some options of which may be beneficial to be taking.

Should I Be Taking Supplements?

To answer the question at hand- yes, you should be taking supplements! While it is certainly possible to get all of the nutrients you need from food, supplements are able to help fill in the gaps of where your diet may be lacking or provide additional support if your immune system is weakened for example. Another factor to keep in mind is that most of the food you’re buying at supermarkets in the US is not as fresh as we’d hope- with additives and preservatives allowing for long shelf lives and sacrificing the nutritional value.

In a study done, it was found that 31% of the U.S. population was at risk of at least one vitamin deficiency- showing that most of us could benefit from taking supplements.

What is Cervicocranial Syndrome and How Can it be Treated?

Cervicocranial Syndrome, sometimes called Craniocervical Junction Syndrome or Barre-Lieou Syndrome, is a group of symptoms that are collectively caused by an injury, disease, degeneration, or a combination of these. This syndrome can develop when the vertebrae found in your neck, or cervical spine (C1-C7), are shifted, collapsed, or misaligned.

WE ARE CDC COMPLIANT

In order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in our community, any patient that enters the building will be screened for the virus by having their temperature taken and filling out a questionnaire from Main Line Health. Once inside the office, patients will be asked to wash their hands immediately and may receive another temperature check. All patients will be able to maintain a safe social distance from others, as only one patient is seen per hour. The Greenberg Regenerative staff wears their masks at all times, and also ensures that all safety protocols and guidelines per Main Line Health and the CDC are being followed. Additionally, Dr. Greenberg is fully vaccinated, which further reduces possible COVID-19 transmission. At the end of the appointment, patients have the option to take a Greenberg Regenerative Medicine hand sanitizer to allow them to remain safe and healthy.
